Lincoln’s fine comeback
Lincoln made a remarkable comeback against Leeston at Leeston to win the Ellesmere Cricket Association’s competition for yet another season. ■ With one round to play. Lincoln is assured of the championship as it has a lead of 28 points over its nearest rivals. Burnham A and Leeston. Lincoln turned a 54-run deficit on the first day into a fourwicket victory on the second day through the fine bowling of Mervyn Taylor and Andrew Carver. They took seven wickets between them and dismissed Leeston for 108 in its second innings. Burnham B moved off the bottom of the points table with its first win of the season and Weedons went within one wicket of upsetting Tai Tapu. For Weedons.
