are Marlborough and Southland while the first pool comprises Auckland, Canterbury. ’Hawkes Bay and Manawatu B. Manawatu have won the title in 1977, 1978 and 1979. Taranaki will be headed by the All Black captain, Graham Mourie, making his first appearance in the competition since 1975. His All Black team-mate, Dave Loveridge, will also be playing.
