Prescription charges
. Sir,—The proposed prescription charge might be more effective in reducing wasteful expenditure if it were paid by the medical practitioner and not by the patient. Administratively this would be a very simple scheme: prescriptions only on official forms costing 50c each. The result: fewer unnecessary prescriptions. — Yours, etc., T. P. PALMER. March 9, 1982.
