School cricket victories
Christchurch Boy's High School comfortably won both the first XI and the second XI cricket games when it met Christ's College at Straven Road yesterday in the one hundredth year of official matches between the two schools. School won the first XI fixture by 10 wickets and the second XI one by seven wickets. Scores:— First XI C.B.H.S. 219 (D. Bond 54, C.
Flanagan 79; J. Wilson 6/70) and 57/0 (B. Jackson 28 not out) beat Christ’s College 149 and 125 (A. Vincent 36; A. McCormick 3/20. Flanagan 3/23). Second XI C.B.H.S. 117/8 dec. (S. Roberts 29, T. Trollope 20) and 104/3 (Roberts 53 not out) beat Christ's College 94 (G. Cotton 5/5, R. Jenman 3/21) and 125 (Cotton 3/ 8. Roberts 3/11).
