‘Memorial’ for Chch artist
A New Zealand artist, Jan White, who died last year after barely beginning her career, will be remembered in an exhibition at the Ginko Print Workshop and Gallery for works on paper. The exhibition features drawings, linocuts, woodcuts, etchings, and lithographs. Ms White graduated in 1980 with honours in printmaking from the School of Fine Arts at the University of Canterbury. Last year she was accepted for the professional.
lithography programme at the Tamarind Institute of Lithography, in New Mexico. Soon after taking up her studies, she died in a traffic accident. The exhibition will close on April 2.
