These positions involve the production of demographic projections and time-series; population estimates; and research into population growth and distribution. Qualifications required are a degree in either Pure Mathematics or in Geography, Economics, Sbcioloy, Statistics with Pure Mathematics to Stage II level. Experience in the “Fortran” computer programming language or in the use of genereal computer packages for statistical analysis would be an advantage. A considerable amount of research report writing for publication purposes will be undertaken and ability with written English is essential.
