Workers at funeral

. The Canterbury Frozen Meat Company closed its Belfast works yesterday afternoon to allow workers on the cooling floor to attend the funeral of one of their workmates who died after an accident at the works last week. He was Ronald Murray Scott, aged 50, of Christchurch. He died on Friday of in-

juries which he suffered when he was caught in a moving carcase rail at the works on Thursday afternoon, according to an organiser of the Meat Workers’ Union, Mr C. Knowles. The funeral of Mr Scott, a cleaner, was held at Geraldine.
