Students enrol today
Student enrolment will start at the University of Canterbury at 9 a.m. today. Strain on both students and the university’s staff should be reduced this year because about a quarter of the 7500 students expected have taken advantage of a new postal enrolment system. The academic registrar, Mr A. W. Hayward, said last evening that this meant far fewer students had to enrol in person. Students taking arts, commerce, and law courses will enrol today, and enrolment of other students will continue until 5 p.m. on Friday.
