One of England’s most eminent Buddhists is Christmas Humphreyz, Q.C. In a 8.8. C. programme on concert at 9.15 p.m. he talks to Hallam Tennyson about his life as a Buddhist and his work as a judge. He says: “As a judge, I’ve thought about the application of Buddhist principles and I've come to the conclusion that the first principle is
found in every religion . . . the man in the dock is my brother.” Piano recital From a recital that the visiting pianist, Peter Frankl, gave in the Christchurch James Hay Theatre last season Radio New Zealand recorded performances he gave of Mozart's and Schumann’s music. Peter Frankl plays the Mozart K3lO Sonata in A minor and Schumann’s Kreisleriana, Op. 16. Concert, 9.45 p.m. Relationships The “disposable and fragmented” character of many teen-age relationships is described by David Simpson, Senior Counsellor at Auckland University. He also explains how the nature of these relationships is derived from adult relationships and features of today’s society. Concert, 9.18 tomorrow night.
