The officer will be responsible mainly for research and planning in primary health care but the scope of the position may include other health services in the North Canterbury Hospital Board area. Duties include participating in health services research, preparation of research and planning reports and the provision of support to health service planning groups. Appropriate experience and training are essential. Ideally, the successful applicant would hold a university qualification, preferably post graduate, in one of the social sciences. A knowledge of computing would be an advantage and the ability to work with a wide range of agencies and professionals is essential.
