Visit to Cuba

Sir.—l firmly agree with your correspondent, Joan Britt (January 13), on voluntary unionism. It is hard to imagine in these enlightened days just how we have let ourselves get put into the position of being dictated to. The unions may have done a lot of good in the dark past, but today we see them as stepping stones for subversives. As to Mr Douglas “not letting his Communist viewpoint affect his position in the F.0.L.," I ask: why does Joan Britt think he is in this position? Part of the Marxist philosophy is to wreak havoc with the economy of any country they eventually want to take over. — Yours, etc.,

KENNETH R. GRAY. January 18, 1982.
