Keen demand for lambs

Prime lambs were in keen demand at the Addington market yesterday. The prices paid for good quality. heavy lambs firmed by 50c to $1 on last week's rates.’ Heavyweight prime cattie sold at similar rates to last week, although prices for prime heiters' firmed slightly. • Prime lambs All types of prime lambs were in keen demand by local buvers. The best demand was for heavy, prime stock. The quality of steers offered was described as very good and they matched last week's values. The demand for heiters increased slightly. The sale was well supported 'by buyers from freezing works. Cows were in good demand. The top price was gained by M. G. Cowens (Cust) who sold eight steers for up to $572. A price of $4lO was paid for one Hereford heifer from J. S. and L. H. Scott (Oxford).
