T.H.C. may close hotel
PA Wellington The near-new Rarotongan Hotel will be closed by the Tourist Hotel Corporation if a buyer cannot be found. The corporation said yesterday that it would not exercise its option of a further five-year management contract to 1987 and that it would relinquish its manage-
ment of the hotel on March 31. The hotel, which is rated as one of the top six international hotels in the South Pacific, has been on the market for some time but only one substantive offer was received and that was later withdrawn.
