A Christchurch cellist, Katherine Staniforth, is one of three New Zealanders to he granted Queen Elizabeth II Arts Council awards to further their study in London. Miss Staniforth was granted $3500 towards a years private study with the English cellist, Christopher Bunting, who heard her play at the Christchurch Conservatoire last year. She will leave for London on Monday.
