Situations Vacant Situations Vacant Electric Welding Specialist Christchurch WE HAVE A VACANCY for a specialist to join our Christchurch Sales team. In addition to providing technical advice and service on the use and application of NZIG's electric welding equipment and consumables to customers and staff, the appointee will also he responsible for the management of our recently established welding centre. This centre is being developed to provide welding training for people Irnm client companies and to provide training and demonstration facilities for staff and customers.
To meet the needs of the position the appointee will have sufficient welding competency to be able to train others to NZS 4711 manual arc standard and to provide training in MIG and TIG welding. The appointee will also need to be a Certifying Officer in terms of the N.Z. standard, or at least to be capable of obtaining this grading in a relatively short period of time. Other important attributes will be the ability to train effectively, to develop and organise training programmes and to communicate with staff andcustomers at all levels on technical matters. Selling experience or at least the personality, ability and presentation to properly represent the company, will be essential.
