Three dogs impressive
Madam Osram and Casper's Ghost, in the class 1. 560 m races, and Lennie Rodgers, in a class 1 sprint scored impressively al the Christchurch Greyhound Racing Club's sweepstake meeting at Queen Elizabeth II Park on Mondav evening. Madam Osram, owned by Peter Smith and trained by Graeme Barron, won by four lengths over Superplod in the good time of 34.775. The Chief Zero-Miss Osram bitch has been successfully mixing middle and long distance racing recently. She will race in a slayers' event at Forbury Park this week-end.
Casper's Ghost (Busy’s ChiefInasfree) was an equally attractive winner when he led'throughout to beat Kaiwara Lad in a respectable 35.0. The Gael Palmer-trained Lennie Rodgers, a dog by Winronin out of Jetsetter, was too classy for Miss Wadderin and the laststart Ashburton winner. Ben Bendigo, in a class 1. 330 m. He won by five lengths in a time of 20.085.’ Other winners were: Beswick Boy (class 0. 560 m: 35.515). Tail s Cheetah (class 0. 560 m: 36.255) Tere Tane (class 1. 330 m. 20.475); Pacemaker Two (class 0. 330 m; 20.695).
