Missing man sighted once
Only one sighting has been reported of an elderly man missing from the Fernwood Hostel, in Ranfurly Street, St Albans, since Wednesday. The man, Duncan McKenzie Stewart, aged 79, was supposed to have been seen near the Sign of the Kiwi about 10 a.m. on Wednesday, but the sighting had been "vague,” the police said. Mr Stewart, who speaks with a pronounced Scots accent, is thought to have left the Fernwood Hostel, which is run by the Foundation for
the Blind, soon after breakfast on Wednesday. he is described as a European, 176 cm (sft 9in) tall, with thinning grey hair. He has brown eyes, one of which is glass, and has two fingers missing from the left hand. Mr Stewart is thought to have been wearing a choco-late-brown shirt, a blue blazer, and a cravat. Anyone who might have seen him should get in touch immediately with the police, who are concerned for his safety.
