A motorist lies on the footpath in Armagh Street after an altercation with a cyclist about 5 p.m. yesterday and, at right, is helped by a local butcher. Traffic officers were quickly on the scene to calm the situation, which apparently arose after the motorist had tooted his horn at a cyclist, according to the police. The man’s car was kicked during the incident. A young man was arrested and will appear in the District Court this morning charged with wilful damage and assault.
