No. 180 Weston Road, Papanui. a brick and tile bungalow on a 647 sq m section, was passed. in at auction on Wednesday at $43,000. but sold afterwards for $43,500. The reserve was $45,000. The G.V. (1979) is $28,500. The 20-year-old house has' two bedrooms and a separate diningroom. The auctioneer was Mr W. Knight of Whittle, Knight and Boatwood. No. 32 Glandovey Road, Fendalton, sold for more than $225,000. this week after
being passed in at auction on November 27 for $200,000. The G.V. (1980) is $76,000. On the 3819 sq m (nearly an acre) back section, which has a Wairarapa Stream frontage of about 24m, ; is an old two-storey weatherboard house about 100 years old. The house has ..four bedrooms. three livingrooms, a separate diningroom, a walkin pantry and scullery, and a veranda. According to the auctioneer. Mr Colin Robertson, of Sherris and Robertson, it would be an expensive exercise to restore the house to its former bloom.
