Lower grade cricket

Four wickets with four successive balls was the proud achievement of Mike Van Dyke (Burn-side-West University) against Lancaster Park in the sixth grade of the Canterbury Cricket Associations lower-grade competitions on Saturday. They proved his only wickets, however. He was not alone in gaining a hat-trick. D. Penfold (Burnside High School) performed the feat and again Lancaster Park was on the receiving end. The centurv-makers were Klaus Prusas (Sydenham B) who made 113 against Lancaster Park in the second grade, and M. Beatson (Burnside-West University). who scored 112 for his team when it beat East-Shirlev. Second grade High School Old Boys 161 and 100 lost to East-Shirley 184 8 dec. and 82/4. Burnside-West University 174 and 120/7 dec. lost to Old Collegians 101 (R. Kinsey 8 22) and 194/7 (C. McDowell 56). Lancaster Park 246 and 112 2 dec. (J. L.
