Guilty verdict
A jury in the District Court yesterday found Linda Katherine Fraser, aged 18, a domestic purposes beneficiary, guilty of a charge of receiving stolen property — a brooch valued at $4O. After the jury’s verdict had been given, and counsel (Mr S. C. Barker) had made submissions in mitigation of sentence, Judge Fraser ordered her to come up for sentence within a year if called upon. Mr D. J. L. Saunders appeared for the Crown.
