(Forest and Rural Fires Act 1979) OWNERS AND OCCUPIERS OF LAND IN THE CHANEYS AND BOTTLE LAKE RURAL FIRE DISTRICTS, also CAMPERS, PICNICKERS, SPORTSMEN, etc., entering these Fire Districts are hereby notified that during the period from October 1. 1981 until April 30, 1982, being closed fire season, it is an OFFENCE punishable by imprisonment or by a fine of SlOO to light any fire or fires in the Fire Districts without first having obtained a PERMIT from the undersigned. PERMISSION TO LIGHT FIRES for essential purposes ONLY may .be granted if weather conditions justify this, upon personal or written application at the Waimairi County Council Office, cnr Clyde and Jeffreys Roads, advising the extent of afea of the burning required and the date or dates on which it is desired to burn and protective measures taken. The Club also intends to extend its pavilion which will be the subject of a notified application in terms of the Town and Country Planning Act. 1977.
