WALLACE COUNTY COUNCIL WATER AND WASTEWATER ENGINEER APPLICATIONS closing January 25, 1982, are invited for the above position on the staff of the Wallace County Council at Otautau. The position would require the successful applicant to manage council’s township water supplies, sewage schemes and design and manage an increasing number of rural water supplies. Preference will be given to applicants holding N.Z.C.E. or R.E.A. qualifications who have experience in both design and operation of water and wastewater schemes. The position would be particularly suited to someone with a background in agricultural education, farm advisory work etc. Primary responsibility will be for teaching young people engaged in farming and undertaking courses leading to qualifications awarded by the New Zealand Trades Certification Board. Classes are held in rural centres in Mid and North Canterbury, involving travel on a daily basis. The appointment is to be made at the tutor grade I level with commencing salary, determined by qualifications and experience, in the range $14,267 to $19,962.
