It is envisaged that research programmes undertaken will be both on that orchard and also on farmers' properties. The unit has the responsibility for the collection and processing of statistics and EDP methods is required and applicants should have a high level of skill in at least one area. The minimum educational requirements are an honours degree in statistics, computing or a related subject.
