; For October, the first month of i the Lyttelton Harbour Board's I new financial year, the board ; incurred a total loss of 45.532 i tonnes of cargo, as compared ! with October a year ago, accordi ing to the board's general manai ger, Mr J. A. McPhail. I However, even though October ] was a “light” month, the board ! expects the usually slow months iof November and December to (show good returns. • ■ Imports, both coastal and : overseas, were down during i October, as were overseas exports. Coastal exports showed i only a slight increase for the ■ month.
