N.Z. bowls pair named
Two Auckland bowlers, John Malcolm and Danny O’Connor, have been named as New Zealand representatives for the Newcastle international pairs in New South Wales next March. The announcement was made by the president of the N.Z.8.A., Mr Dave Martin, in Christchurch yesterday. Malcolm, who has represented New Zealand overseas
before, is a former national singles champion and O’Connor has won two national fours titles in teams skipped by Nick Unkovich in the last six years. The Newcastle pairs draws some of the world’s top • bowlers and earlier this year the N.Z.B.A. decided to credit its future teams with full New Zealand representative status.
