Soccer fan jailed
NZPA London A soccer fan who killed his girlfriend after she made him wash dishes during the F.A. Cup final on television was yesterday jailed for three years. A father of two, David
Gair, wept as he was led from the dock at Newcastle-upon-Tyne Crown Court. Gair, aged 25, a machine operator, was cleared of murdering a 27-year-old barmaid, Carol Bamford-Jones, but was convicted of manslaughter.
