PURCHASING OFFICER PETRALGAS CHEMICALS N.Z. LIMITED METHANOL PLANT PROJECT PETRALGAS CHEMICALS N.Z. LTD has commenced construction of a 1200 tonne per day chemical Methanol Plant at Waitara. Taranaki due for completion by end 1983. The company is looking for a suitably qualified purchasing officer wuh a good basic background in heavy construction, or operating plants, initially to join the project team at Waitara. During construction a fully comprehensive integrated construction programme, including systems and procedures, will be used. The successful applicant will be trained in this system with the intention of extension into the operating phase prior to commissioning of the plant. It is envisaged that the encumbant will have a good educational background with experience in systems and procedures, computerised stock control methods, negotiation at senior levels and will be fully conversant with import procedures.
