Pioneers dominate marching
Newmans Acme Pioneers continued to dominate marching in Canterbury by winning the champion team and display titles in all three grades at the Midland Association championships, held at English Park on Saturday. In the second championship held on Sunday at Bumham Military Camp," the Newmans Acme Pioneers senior team just managed to maintain a slender 35-point lead over McAlpine Stars, but lost the junior display section to McVicar Guards and Blue Star Taxis.
