Giant ‘inflatable’ to go to schools
A group of second-year student nurses take a break from lectures at the Diabetes Society to explore the inside of “the inflatable at the Christchurch Arts Centre. The idea of a visiting American lecturer at the School of Fine Arts, the inflatable was used in the last Arts Festival, and this is the first time it has been inflated since then. It will be in use at the centre every Saturday (except Boxing Day) until the end of February, while the Arts Centre market days are functioning. During the week, students of the University of Canterbury will take the inflatable to primary schools, under the Children’s Holidays Activities Programme.
