Newspaper acquires Infoserv

PA Auckland Infoserv,the information services subsidiary set up by CBL Holdings, Ltd, this year, has been acquired by Wilson and Horton, Ltd, publisher of the . “New Zealand Herald,” for an undisclosed cash sum. Wilson and Horton, Ltd, has been a long-term user of CBL services, and is a shareholder in that company. The two companies remain closely associated after the recent appointment of Mr H. M. Horton, managing director of Wilson and Horton to the board of CBL Holdings. Mr Horton said that it had been decided information services would be more suitably handled by a company whose traditional business was information and communications. CBL would concentrate on the fields of computer technology, software and data communications.
