New Army appointments
PA Wellington Brigadier A. C. Hamilton and Brigadier I. H. Burrows have taken up new appointments in the wake of the new Chief of General Staff, Major-General Rob Williams, taking command. Brigadier Hamilton is now the Deputy Chief of General Staff; General Williams’s last appointment. He was previously director-general of operations and training at
Headquarters New Zealand Land Forces at Takapuna. He has also been director of Defence Intelligence in Wellington. Born in Auckland, he graduated from; tne Roval Military College in Australia into tne Royal New Zealand Army Service Corps in 1953. He has served overseas in Korea, Malaya arid witn the Ist Australian Logistic Support Group in Vietnam. Brigadier Burrows has
taken over Brigadier Hamilton’s old job of directorgeneral of operations and training at Takapuna. He will also continue with his old appointment of directorgeneral oi personnel and logistics until early January when a new Brigadier will be appointed. His father is Brigadier J. T. Burrows, a distinguished soldier of the Second World War and author of "Pathway among-Men."
