Tense bowls match
NZPA staff correspondent Hong Kong The New Zealand pair of Phil Skoglund (skip) and Peter Bryant was beaten, 2421, by the Welsh pair of Ray Hill (skip) and Peter Jenkins in a tense game of bowls during the international classic in Hong Kong yesterday.
Earlier, Skoglund and Bryant had struggled to beat Keith Bosley and Ray Dewhurst of the Kowloon club, 18-16, in their opening match. The tournament which has attracted some of the world’s leading bowlers, is being played at the Kowloon club.
