Finn drives brilliantly
NZPA-Reuter Chester. England Finland's Hannu Mikkola held a 10-minute lead at the half-way point of the R.A.C. motor rally yesterday. Mikkola, in a four-wheel-drive, turbo-charged Audi Quattro. drove brilliantly to produce the fastest times in
19 of the 33 special stages. A fellow Finn. Ari Vatanen. battling for the world title with a Frenchman, Guy Frequelin took over second place when Tony Pond, of Britain, had to retire after 29 stages with a broken halfshaft on his Vauxhall Chevette.
