S.I. candidates fail
Both the South Island candidates for kev posts in the New Zealand Squash Rackets Association failed to win eleclion in the annual meeting at Rotorua at lhe week-end. Mr Viv Hargreaves, a vicepresident of the association and former convener of the national selection panel, was defeated tor tne post of president bv Mr
Bruce Davidson, a Wellington lawyer. Another Christchurch man. Mr Doug Lawrie, also lost his bid lor a vice-presidential spot, although retaining his position as Canterbury delegate on- the management committee. The new vice-presidents are Mr Andrew Doig, of Palmerston North; and Mr Mike Greig, of Auckland. Mr Hargreaves did not stand for. vice-president.
