Building permits rise
PA Wellington Permits allowing the building of .1757 houses were issued in September, an increase of 29.9 per cent over September 1980, said the Statistics Department. <? The value of the new houses totalled $78.3 million, an increase of 65.2 per cent. The number of houses authorised for the year ended September 1981 was 15,935, 892 more than the previous year but 710 fewer than for the year ended September, 1979."
