Former test player dies
NZPA Sydney The former Australian test cricketer and Canberra political correspondent, Jack Fingleton, died yesterday in Sydney’s North Shore Hospital. He was 73. Mr Fingleton was visiting his daughter in Sydney last Friday when he suffered a heart attack.
He was opening batsman for the Australian Test side during the 19305, and was the first player in Test history to make four consecutive test centuries.
