The stallion which will stand at the newly established Dalama Stud at Muswellbrook, will be spelled until early January when he will be prepared for autumn racing. It is planned to retire Opera Prince to Jim Koureas’ Dalama Stud in May, with the present owners retaining their major interest. ■ The previous record for an Australian-bred horse was the syndication of Best Western earlier this year for $700,000, although the current price for shares in Best Western takes his value to more than $6 million.
