Television journalist resigns
PA Auckland An “Eye-Witness” journalist; Mr * Neil /Roberts,. resigned yesterday, in’ protest about Television . New Zealand’s reaction that Tuesday evening’s programme on the education policy of the three main political parties was not balanced. The director-general of TVNZ, Mr A. W. Martin. said after the current affairs show that the programme did not present a full range of. views ot the three main pariies and should not have been transmitted in the form tnat it was. Mr ■ Roberts said in his letter of resignation that he was not consulted before the statement was issued and that neither he, nor other staff members, were told in what way the programme was unbalanced.
