The scent of a Peace rose is sampled by the secretary of the Canterbury Horticultural Society, Mr Thomas Clarke, last evening during preparations for the society’s annual rose show which will open to the public in the Horticultural Hall this afternoon. The rose shown is entered by Miss N. C. Mercer, of Christchurch. The rose show is traditionally the largest of the year for entries.
