MUSCHAMP: SPENCERVILLE, to take 2160 cubic metres of water per day. 15 days per month at the rate of 60 litres per second from a 203 mm well approximately 30 metres deep on property Lower Styx Road for spray irrigation purposes. 4377 WAITAKI N.Z. REFRIGERATING LTD: ISLINGTON, to discharge up to 1000 cubic metres per day of natural water containing pelt processing liquors. 2 days per week and in emergencies, onto approximately 26 hectares of gravel flats south west of Halswell Junction Road and the Main South Road, Hornby, in circumstances which result in that waste, or any other waste emanating as a result of natural processes from that waste entering ground water. Replacing right NCY 780599. 4378 THE CANTERBURY FROZEN MEAT CO. LTD: BELFAST, to discharge up to 16,000 cubic metres per day (average 14,500 cubic metres per day) of partially treated mixed meatworks, woolscour and fellmongery wastes from the Company's works at Belfast to the South Branch, of the Waimakanri River via existing 450 and 600 mm pipe outfalls located downstream of Dickeys Road Bridge. Replacing right NCY 800061. NOTE: This is an application for a water right under section 21 (3B) of the Water and Soil Conservation Act. Section 21 (3B) provides for the granting of water rights in certain circumstances where it is impractical for the Board to impose conditions to ensure that the Water Classification standard is maintained. 4379 MINISTERY OF WORKS AND DEVELOPMENT: GRETA VALLEY, to divert Cobbolds Creek and discharge via a new highway culvert into the Greta Valley some 300 metres upstream of the present confluence. Maximum rate of discharge 34 cubic metres per second. Purpose: upgrading stream alignment and diverting water through new culvert to be constructed on new highway alignment. 4380 TEGEL POULTRY CO., a division of GENERAL FOODS POULTRY LTD: ROLLESTON. to take 1746 cubic metres of water per day. 5’2 days per week at the rate of 30 litres per second from a 203 mm well 61 metres deep on property Dunns Crossing Road for spray irrigation purposes. Replacing right NCY 720242. SUBMISSION OR OBJECTIONS The above applications may be examined at the office of the North Canterbury Catchment Board, corner Latimer Square and Worcester Street, Christchurch, during office hours. Any body or person may at any time within 28 days of this notice lodge with the Board written submissions on any application or an objection to any application.
Every objection shall be on the ground that the grant of an application would prejudice the objectors interests or the interests of the public generally and shall be made in writing setting out the grounds on which the objector relies. Every objection shall be supported by a statutory declaration verifying the contents thereof.
