PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that RICHMOND VILLAGE SUPER SEVEN, LTD WILL APPLY to the SHOP TRADING HOURS COMMISSION at a date, time and place specified at the foot of this Application FOR AN ORDER pursuant to Section 17A of The Shop Trading Hours Act, 1977, exempting it from the provisions of Section 11(1 )of the Act upon the grounds that the Commission has declined an application made pursuant to section 17A(1) of The Shop Trading Hours Act, 1977, as amended by The Shop Trading Hours Amendment Act, 1980 and further upon the grounds that it is a Dairy-mixed business in terms of the said Act. in support of the Application the applicant says: 1 - THAT it is a duly incorporated company having its'registered office at Christchurch and carrying on business as a dairy-mixed business in shop premises situated at 68 North Avon Road. Christchurch. 2- THAT it is situated in a group of shops known as the Richmond Village. Christchurch. 3 - THAT it carries on business as a shop where:— (a) Milk is offered for sale, in the form in which it was purchased, for use or human consumption off the premises oi that shop; and (b) The other goods offered for sale are at all times limited in both quantity and kind to those sufficient to provide the persons residing or staying in the immediate area in which the shop is situated, and travellers passing through that area (otherwise than for the purpose of purchasing goods at that shop) with the food, beverages, and household and personal items, that they may reasonably require to purchase on a Sunday. 4 — THE shop is open during the following hours, namely: 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. from Monday to Saturday in any week and from the hours of 9 a.m, to 9 p.m. on each Sunday. 5 — THE Application is made because the Commission has declined an application of the applicant exempting it from the provisions of section 11(1) of the Act.
