Four killed on roads
PA Auckland A man and a woman were killed in separate road accidents in Auckland just after midnight on Wednesday when the cars they were driving crashed into a power pole and a brick -wall. They were Raymond Allan Prime, aged 42, of Te Atatu South; and Josephine Ann Laws, aged 25, of Preston Road, Otara. Mr Prime was found dead in his car two hours after, it crashed into a pole on the north-western motorway near Patiki Road. Miss Laws died when her car struck a concrete fence and brick wall in Gillies Avenue, Epsom. An elderly couple who died when their vehicle struck a power pole at Ohope, near Whakatane, on/Monday afternoon have been named by the WhakataM police, They ■were ' - Roy White, 71, a retired bank manager; and Miriel Velmai -White, , aged 68, of jlalbergCrescent, Whakathne.
