Endeavour ahead
Endeavour Services Corporation, Ltd, increased its unaudited half-year profit 14.7 per cent to $1,548,000, from the previous first year' half of $1,350,000. The directors said the first six months results included non-recurring expenditure in further rationalisation from the merging of the Australian textile rental operations. But they are confident that the results for the full year
will be significantly ahead of last year. The marginal profit rise came after providing $63,000 less for tax at $999,000. Traditional export sales continued, mainly in the Australian and Pacific Basin countries. Exports from Cyplas Industries (NZ) Ltd continue to achieve record levels. In March, Endeavour took a 51 per cent stake in the Cyplas group. Cyplas also has operations in Australia and Pacific Basin countries. The steady 10 per cent interim dividend is on capital increased by the August one-for-five bonus issue. The interim takes $566,900 compared with $468,952 last year. The dividend is payable on January 20, ex January 18.
