Rotorua man top shooter
PA Rotorua A Rotorua man scooped the pool on Saturday when he won two of five aggregate events to become the over-all winner of the national Black Powder Championships. In damp weather, L. Kerr took first placing in the unlimited powder event and the running boar, any breech or muzzle loader.
Second in the grand aggregate was Wellington’s A. Colville. J. Collins of Auckland was third.
In the women’s aggregate category, C. McNaughton of Rotorua was first, followed by S. Avery of Tauranga, and C. Buckley of Napier.
About 115 shooters from as far afield as Whangarei and the South Island competed in the 10 events. Results:
