Advertisement Bank lends $B5 million since April 1 this year During October the Canterbury Savings Bank approved loans to 1258 customers totalling $8,276,935. The Bank's Manager, Lending. Mr P. W. Reyland. said that for the seven months since April 1 this year the bank has approved 9344 loans for $85,185,882 compared with the same period last year when 5793 loans totalling $45,302,600 had been approved. During October there was a heavy demand for the funds available.. however good depositors of the bank received favourable consideration and will continue to do so in the future. The Canterbury Savings Bank's ability to play the major role in satisfying the demand for mortgage money within the Bank's area of operation comes about because of the continuing support the Bank enjoys from the people of Canterbury, Marlborough and Nelson. Mr Reyland said.
