New listings’ debuts
Hawke’s Bay Transport Holdings and Coal and Energy made their debuts on an easy, moderately active New Zealand sharemarket yesterday. Trading in Coal and Energy shares accounted for more than 50 per cent of the total turnover, 32c being the main selling price. Hawke’s Bay Transport, listed at the beginning of this month, traded for 205 c a share for the first time yesterday. U.E.B. eased 1c in spite of its good result, and other leading issues also continued to ease. The N.Z.U.C. index lost 4.79 points to close at 652.65. for a net gain on the week of 9.25 points.
