Four teams unbeaten in table tennis
Four teams remain unbeaten after the second round of the summer interclub table tennis at the Selwyn Street hall. Avonside I. Avonside 11. Linwood I and Riccarton I recorded their second wins, with Riccarton pressed hardest of the four before it edged out Dallington. 75. The former Southland player, John Gagliardi, won all three singles for the losers. Of the remaining matches. Linwood I had a surprisingly comfortable win over Riccarton 11. while the youthful Burnside line-up notched its first victory for the season. Avonside I was untroubled to beat Avonside 111, with Bill Scott and Michael Burrowes again unbeaten in the singles.
