Space lift-off
NZPA Cape Canaveral The postponement of last week’s flight of the space shuttle Columbia cost SNZI.B million to SNZ2.4 million, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration estimated yesterday. Mr'Tom Newman, the acting N.A.S.A. comptroller in Washington, said the figure
was a preliminary estimate of costs incurred solely because of the delay. The scheduled take-off is now at _.3U a.m. tomorrow (New Zealand time). The revolutionary spacecraft. which cost almost SUSIO billion to develop, is the first manned vehicle designed for multiple space missions.
