Madagascan riots
Security forces have moved into the Madagascan Capital, Antananarivo, in force to quell fresh outbreaks of looting, vandalism and street fighting. Onlookers said troops took up positions around the presidential palace while the police chased looters through blocked city streets in a bid to control the violence which began after a football match. It was not clear what started the trouble. — Antananarivo.
